The overview

Weekly. Small. Consistent.

A season of mentorship, run for you. SheMate is a structured 5- or 8-week program of weekly 45-minute virtual sessions for small groups of girls in sports.

Led by women who've been there

A trained facilitator every week, plus one or two accomplished women athletes sharing real experience, perspective, and practical insight.

A curriculum she keeps

Honest conversations and diverse points of view, captured in a personal Playbook that stays with her long after the program ends.

We handle it all

Planning, facilitation, and mentor coordination are on us, start to finish. All you do is bring your athletes.

01

We match your group

Tell us the sport, age group, and number of athletes. We'll match your group with mentors who competed at the college, pro, Olympic, or Paralympic level.

02

45 minutes, once a week

Same time, same group. Choose a 5-week or 8-week series. Run it in season, in the offseason, or over the summer — it doesn't have to follow your competition calendar.

03

Small groups for every voice

Groups stay small enough that every athlete talks. This is a conversation, not a presentation to a room.

04

One facilitator, rotating mentors

The same trained facilitator leads every session, so there's continuity. One or two new SheMate athletes join each week, so your athletes hear many paths instead of one.

05

We handle the hard part

We handle matching, curriculum, and facilitation. No prep for your coaches, no new system to learn.

06

You get a program summary

Attendance, the themes your athletes worked through, and completion across the group.

How the series looks

One facilitator all the way through. New voices every week.

Most programs bring in one speaker. SheMate brings a different voice nearly every week — different sports, different levels, different routes through the same problems — so your athletes learn from a range of experiences, not a single story.

  • 45-minute sessions, weekly, in a 5-week or 8-week series
  • Small groups where every athlete talks
  • One facilitator throughout, plus one or two new athlete mentors every session
  • A structured curriculum: four Pillars, delivered one Play at a time
  • The app. Short videos from women in sports, refreshed weekly, for every athlete.
  • Her Playbook. Everything she works through, saved and hers to keep.
  • A program summary: attendance, themes, and what your athletes are working through
Questions we get

The fine print, in plain terms.

What if we have a large team roster?

No problem. Let us know the size of your roster, and we'll work with you to determine the best session format. Depending on your group size, we may recommend parallel small-group sessions to ensure everyone has an engaging and interactive experience.

Do you hold sessions during the season?

Absolutely. Our sessions can be held during the season, in the offseason, or over the summer. Because sessions are scheduled weekly rather than around a competition calendar, we'll work with you to find the timing that best fits your team's schedule.

Does SheMate provide therapy?

No. SheMate is a mentorship platform, not a therapy service. Our mentors offer guidance, encouragement, and support during sessions. While meaningful conversations and connections can have a positive impact on wellbeing, SheMate does not provide mental health diagnosis, therapy, counseling, or other clinical mental health services.
